Music has always been a passion of mine. I began piano lessons at age 10 with Pearson Music Company (now Notasium). Upon entering middle school I joined the school band playing the trumpet for two years. I also was a participant of the schools chorus and was selected to sing in the Durham Public Schools Middle Schools Honors Chorus. I branched out in high school and began playing the guitar. During my junior year I was accepted into the prestigious arts school Durham School of the Arts. While attending DSA, I took classical guitar lessons and sang second tenor in the schools most advanced choir, Chorale. In 2004 we won a National Championship at Music Fest (now OrlandoFest) in Orlando, Florida under Scott Hill. Outside of school I played guitar for the band "Me against Me" from 2003 to 2005 before going our seperate ways.

After graduating high school I enrolled to attend community college. I begin working towards an IT degree in desktop and network support while spending my free time studying music production. After a few semesters of experimenting with home recording, I moved to Raleigh, North Carolina to attend The School of Communication Arts (now The Living Arts College). I enrolled for a Pro Tools Certification class and began recording with two Hip-Hop based groups which was a great opportunity to step away from Rock and broaden my skill set. After completing my certificate I knew I wanted to make a career for myself in music and pro-audio. I was hungry to continue my education and so I began to research schools online. I found Dubspot electronic music school based out of NYC and knew at first sight it was the school for me. Since then I've completed Dubspots Native Instruments Maschine course under Justin Aswell along with their Mixing & Mastering course under Abe Duque. I now own and operate TalesOfTrueLife Productions offering music licensing and pro-audio services.
